Learn to Skate with Our Skating School
Our Skating School follows the Learn to Skate USA curriculum, the official pathway to figure skating success. It’s perfect for:
Beginners of all ages
Skaters interested in figure skating or hockey
Returning skaters looking to build confidence and technique
Classes include small group instruction, supervised practice time, and skill-based level progression.
Freestyle Ice Sessions
Freestyle sessions are dedicated practice times for figure skaters to work on skills, choreography, and private lessons.
Open to all levels (basic skills and up)
Punch cards and drop-in rates available
Rules in place to ensure a focused, safe training environment
Classes include small group instruction, supervised practice time, and skill-based level progression.

OUR CLASS LEVELS AND SCHEDULE
Preschool-age skaters develop preliminary coordination and strength to move around on the ice. The introductory classes are divided into four progressive levels for kids with no prior skating experience to build confidence in skating and themselves. Fun and games make this positive experience for your kids enjoyable and memorable.

The first stage of skills forms a strong foundation for your skaters to explore the world of skating. All will progress at their own pace working toward mastering each skill. Active Start encourages skaters to trade in hesitation for excitement as they grow a love for skating. FUNdamentals harness those skills as agility, balance, coordination and speed become the main focus of this curriculum.

Free Skate Each Free Skate level is divided into three sections: skating skills, spins and jumps. The levels are designed to give skaters a strong foundation to continue recreational lessons or begin a competitive approach to the sport of figure skating.

The new Aspire classes are designed for skaters Basic 5 and up and include 45 minutes of lesson time broken into groups by level working with a coach in sperate stations. Each station will focus on a specific skill for that skating level group. The groups will rotate through each station. With our top-tier coaching staff, you’ll be able build your skating skills in an affordable, group format.

The teen / adult curriculum is designed for both beginning and experienced teen / adult skaters who wish to improve their skating skills. Participation in the program will help promote physical fitness and improve balance and coordination while teaching proper skating techniques. This is an exciting program for people who look to skating as an enjoyable part of a fit and healthy lifestyle.

Designed to teach the fundamentals of hockey skating, the four badge levels, plus power skating, will teach skaters how to be more proficient and agile on the ice. Proper techniques for the game of hockey are the primary focus and all elements are taught without a puck. Skaters will learn the basic hockey stance, stride, knee bend, and other necessary fundamentals to be successful.

The core components of Theatre on Ice include choreography, skating movements and the camaraderie shared between skaters at the introductory level. Controlling skills and conquering elements will serve as the primary focus to achieve badges. The four themes for the curriculum are joy, body as an instrument, traveling through space and rhythm.
This class may be taken along with other classes. Please sign in for 2 class tickets when checking in.

The Florida Ice Performance (FIP) program at the Ice Factory is a specialized figure skating initiative designed to inspire and develop skaters in the art of performance.
As a non-for profit charitable trust, FIP focuses on enhancing skater’s technical skills and artistic expression through structured training and performance opportunities.
This class is a supplemental class in addition to skating school classes, and is not included with membership.

The Ice Factory Skating Academy’s Aspire Program is a comprehensive figure skating development initiative, designed to bridge the gap between foundational Learn to Skate classes and more advanced figure skating training. In partnership with U.S. Figure Skating, this program offers a structured pathway for skaters aiming to elevate their skills and confidence on the ice.
