GENERAL QUESTIONS

Maybe! But our free bucket aids give you stable support, and we have free helmets too. Our ice is well-maintained and our staff is always ready to help. Most people are comfortable within 15 minutes!

Spectators can watch from our comfortable viewing areas for free! Want to be ON the ice with your child? Rent our “Spikys” ice cleats.

 

The rink stays between 35-60°F. Dress in layers – think long pants, long sleeves, and bring a light jacket. You’ll warm up once you start moving!

 

Yes! Our cafe is open during public skating sessions with drinks, snacks, and concessions.

 

Public skating is first-come, first-served. Sessions rarely sell out, but weekend DJ nights are most popular!

 

No! We welcome ages 3 to 103. Young children can use bobby sleds, and we have equipment for all sizes.

Yes! Coin-operated lockers are available for $1.00 per use.

SKATE RENTALS & GEAR QUESTIONS

Yes—we offer figure and hockey skates in sizes Toddler 6 through Adult 15. Skate rental is just $5 and included with many of our packages. We also have Spikys (ice cleats) you can rent to walk on the ice (ages 18+) if you’d rather not skate.

Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring your own skates. Admission is still required, but you’ll save on rental fees.

Yes! We offer skate helpers (also called walkers or trainers). We offer Buckets you can stack to your belly button for free, or you can rent a Bobby the Seal sled for $12. They’re great for kids or adults just learning how to skate.

We recommend wearing long pants, gloves, and layered clothing. The rink is cool (around 45–50°F), so dressing in light layers helps you stay warm without overheating.

Yes! Safety first. Helmets, elbow pads, and knee pads are all allowed—and encouraged—especially for young or first-time skaters. We offer FREE loaner helmets with limited availability.

EXPERIENCE & AMENITIES

The temperature inside the rink is kept around 40–55°F depending on time of year to maintain the ice. Dress warmly, especially if you’re spectating. The colder it is outside, the colder it is inside the rink area. Our Lobby is kept around 70 degrees.

Yes! We have a comfortable viewing lobby where friends and family can relax and watch the action through the glass.

We sure do! Our on-site cafe offers hot food, drinks, snacks, and sweet treats to keep your energy up after skating.

Public skating sessions typically last 90 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the day and schedule. Stay and skate the full time—it’s one of the best affordable ice skating experiences in Central Florida.

Yes! From Glow Skates and Pajama Parties to Holiday Skate Nights and seasonal events like our Easter Egg Hunt on Ice, there’s always something fun happening. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram for the latest events.

Yes, wheelchair users are welcome on the ice with paid admission. If needed, you may have an escort accompany you on the ice. They can either walk alongside you in spikys or on skates, free of charge. Both powered and non-powered wheelchairs are allowed on the ice, as long as they can be safely operated. To access the ice, guests in wheelchairs must use the ice resurfacer gate, which has a flat threshold. An Ice Factory teammate will be available to assist with getting on and off the ice. For safety reasons, crutches or similar devices are not permitted on the ice.

Simple Ice Rink Rules:

  • Skate at your own risk!
  • Be aware of your own skating capabilities
  • Skate in the same direction as everyone else
  • No running, pushing, or rough play
  • Stay aware of skaters around you
  • Buckets must stay in designated beginner zone
  • No food or drinks on the ice
  • Listen to staff instructions
